Job Title: VBIS Account Manager – Senior Consultant, Health & Productivity
Summary: Responsible for the delivery of high quality, professional and accurate consulting services to clients with minimal direction. To have block-of-business responsibility for various VBIS clients/programs and serve as project manager for specific functional services or projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage implementation process of new services and voluntary benefits programs with new and existing clients. This includes scheduling, hosting and documenting periodic calls with clients, vendors and Buck Consultants staff as needed to achieve implementation according to plan.
Execute all stewardship strategies necessary to maintain client satisfaction with Buck.
Monthly provide clients and VBIS staff with reports on commissions received/booked and VBIS Service Credits generated.
Issue as needed any Statements of Work for VBIS programs.
Maintain repository of client contracts and SOW’s.
Support the maintenance as directed of the VBIS document library.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of types of benefits products available in the marketplace, as well as vendor offerings.
Assist in improving work processes.
Coordinate and review project assignments to ensure timely and accurate work product.
Accurately perform all necessary research required for VBIS Sales Process on timely basis
Maintain the VBIS Pipeline database and provide periodic reports to VBIS and H&W directors and principals
Perform all assigned Client Plan Audits
Prepare/coordinate any requested reports and letters with no direction other than peer review
Consult with other Buck disciplines as appropriate regarding projects and/or expanded client relations.
Assist as necessary with the development and presentation of proposals for consulting services.
Assist with special projects or assignments as instructed by supervisor.
Attain billable hours objectives (apply acquired skills in client-productive ways).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelor's Degree required
6 to 8 years of total related experience
State Broker’s License
Desired but not mandatory: CEBS, CLU, FLMI
Participation in professional organization(s) specific to business
In-depth knowledge of voluntary benefits programs, enrollment processes/protocols, communication schemes, funding arrangements, administrative arrangements, insurance products, compliance, etc.
Project management skills and experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with people, both internally and externally.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Proficient use of at least one project management software program
Self-starter and good problem solver
Good listening skills
Demonstrates proven ability to perform assigned duties of job
Ability to work on a team
